Today an informal network of hundreds of volunteers has assembled records for more than a million cases in 142 countries around the world. It may well be the single most accurate portrait of the virus’s spread through the human population in existence.

About the Project

Global.health is an ambitious initiative to deliver a cutting-edge, secure data and analytics platform to support pandemic and epidemic research and equitable decision making. We do so by building networks, software, and analytical tools that are open-source, easily deployable, and co-designed by our global teams.

Our mission is to enable rapid sharing of trusted public health data to advance the response to infectious diseases.

Global.health works across academic institutions, technology companies, and public health institutions with funding from Google, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the Wellcome Trust.

We are dedicated to nurturing diverse and equitable teams and are committed to creating a culture of inclusion which promotes equality, values diversity, and maintains a working, learning and social environment that considers the rights and dignity of all its staff and across all levels of the organization.
